1. WHO WE ARE

INUA means “to uplift”.

We are a registered women’s CBO in Komarock with 50+ active members. We meet monthly and run community programs built on our core values: Upliftment, Integrity, Empowerment, Inclusivity, Service, Partnership, Respect, Faith.

Vision:
A Komarock where women are economically independent, healthy, spiritually grounded, and have strong voices.

Mission:
Empower women through economic empowerment, health awareness, skills training, and spiritual growth.

2. THE NEED IN KOMAROCK

Many women in Embakasi Central face limited access to capital, health information, and skills to grow small businesses. Youth also lack safe spaces for talent and mentorship. INUA was formed to fill these gaps through community-driven solutions.

3. OUR 9 KEY PROGRAMS

  1. Economic Empowerment: Table banking, chama savings, business training.
  2. Health Awareness: Cancer screening, menstrual health, HIV awareness.
  3. Skills Training: Beading, catering, tailoring, agribusiness, digital literacy.
  4. Advocacy: GBV, teenage pregnancy, drug abuse campaigns.
  5. Community Service: Feeding programs, school support, cleanups.
  6. Environmental Conservation: Tree planting, waste management.
  7. Talent & Sports: Football, athletics, drama, arts for youth.
  8. Spiritual Growth: Prayer fellowships, mentorship, marriage enrichment.
  9. Partnerships: Working with government, NGOs, churches, donors.

4. IMPACT SO FAR

Even as a new CBO, we are already moving:

  • 30 Women trained in table banking and business skills.
  • 1st Community Cleanup in Komarock – 40 members participated.
  • Prayer & Mentorship Fellowship launched in (jhcim) – Every 1st Saturday.
  • 10 Youth supported through talent and football program.
  • We are establishing a daycare in Komarock Estate.

5. HOW YOU CAN PARTNER

We invite partners to walk with us. Every Ksh 200 helps a woman access training and fellowship.

Ways to Give:

  1. Financial Support: Donate via Bank.
  2. Program Sponsorship: Sponsor a health drive, skills training, or feeding program.
  3. In-Kind Donations: Food, sanitary towels, training materials, sports kits, Bibles, devotionals.
  4. Technical Support: Volunteer as a trainer or mentor.
  5. Institutional Partnership: NGOs, Companies, Churches, County Government.

6. ACCOUNTABILITY

Our 7-member leadership team serves for 2 years and is accountable to all members. We submit activity and financial reports to members monthly and to partners quarterly.

Monthly Fee: Ksh 200.
